| The events of 9-11 have impacted us all. For us, we lost 343 fellow Brothers who gave their lives simply doing their job. So with that being said we wish all to remeber and Never Forget those lost. | On September 16th Highland Hose along with 22 other EMS Agenices within WNY responded to NYC for EMS Operations at Ground Zero. These units were activated as part of the NYS Fire Mutal Aid and Mobilization Plan. At the request of NYS Dept. of Health all units were ALS and were asked to work a 24 hour shift. The rigs met at the Erie County Fire Training Academy located in Cheektowaga,NY were they recieved a Medical Screening and Mission Briefing before leaving in a convoy to NYC. Below is the list of all the units that responded to NYC a total of over 130 EMS Personell attended this call for assistance. |
